How to start freelancing with zero experience in design

Starting freelancing with zero experience feels awkward at first.
Like what do you even show people if you haven’t done anything yet?
That’s the part most people get stuck on.
But here’s the thing, you don’t need clients to start, you need work to show.
Pick a skill like graphic design, UI/UX, or video editing, and start by creating your own projects. Redesign an app, make social media posts, edit sample videos anything that shows what you can do.
Will it feel a bit fake at first? Yeah.
But everyone starts like this.
Once you have 4–5 decent projects, you can start putting them out on Instagram, LinkedIn, or freelance platforms.
In the beginning, getting your first client is the hardest part. You might have to charge less or even do a small project for free.
Not very exciting, but it helps.
After that first project, things start to feel more real.
You gain confidence, you understand clients better… and slowly, it starts building up.
