Well after finishing 12th grade everyone has suddenly become your career advisor; they’ll tell you “Do engineering” or “learn to code” like there’s nothing else you could possibly do with your boring life.

So why not put some fun into it!

If you don’t enjoy coding at all, forcing yourself to do it won’t magically improve your life! There are so many fun opportunities out there that pay quite well without having to write a line of code. Things such as UI/UX design, graphic design, digital marketing, video editing or motion graphics are now considered to be viable options and not just and no longer a fall back option!

Plus, you don’t have to waste 4 or 5 years trying to figure out how they all work! You can start learning them in just a couple months, then you could find jobs through freelance work or internships.

The one thing I wish people would share with you more often is Companies care a lot more about what you are able to do than about what you studied.

So instead of listening to everyone around you, stop for a second and ask yourself what do I really enjoy? I think that would be a much better starting point than listening to your friends or family.
